Rod Hicks

Editor in Chief

Rod Hicks is the Director of Ethics and Diversity for the Society of Professional Journalists, where he advocates for ethical journalism and news coverage inclusive of the full community. He has held editing and leadership roles at several news organizations, including The Associated Press, Detroit Free Press and St. Louis Post-Dispatch. At the Post-Dispatch, he played a key role in coverage that was a finalist for a 2009 Pulitzer Prize, and he served as a Pulitzer juror in 2020 and 2021.

Gregory Frank

Modeler in Chief

Gregory has specialized in statistical model studies including econometric models to forecast natural gas demand for a major public utility, customer choice models to predict adoption of energy efficient technologies and estimate effectiveness of energy efficiency programs for energy consulting firms, and statistical models for credit and fraud risk mitigation for a major financial services institution.

Michael Goldstein

Operator in Chief

As a C-suite executive, Michael has delivered business, finance, operations, and strategy development to a broad range of enterprises. He has: executed successful workouts of several mid-sized companies; evolved old line companies into modern enterprises; consulted to the CEO of a Fortune 50 company; and founded several companies in media, technology and community service.
